Joe Budd Wildlife Management Area (JBWMA) in Gadsen County, Florida (Figure 1). All work is to be conducted at the state residence located on JBWMA. The Project is located at 1244 Cattle Gap Road, Midway FL 32343. 1.2. The Contractor is responsible for inspecting the site prior to bidding and including all services, equipment, and material necessary for repairs. Any site inspections must first be approved and scheduled by the project manager as the residence currently has tenants. . WORK SPECIFICATIONS 2.1. The Contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, supplies, and supervision required to complete all jobs listed in the project specifications (see section 3.0 below). Any equipment, tools, supplies etc. left in the area during the project will be at the Contractor’s risk. FWC will not accept any responsibility for equipment left on site. 2.2. The Contractor must have a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in restoring and repairing log homes or similar log structures. They shall provide a list of prior projects to the FWC. 2.3. The Contractor shall submit a list of all company names under which it operated in the past 5 years and if and when any of the companies were found in default. 2.4. If any subcontractors (other than the awarded contractor) are used, they must be fully licensed and insured, as well as having a minimum of five (5) years of recent experience in restoring and repairing log houses or similar log structures. The Contractor will not subcontract, assign, or transfer any services without the prior written consent of the FWC Contract and Project Managers. If permission is granted, the Contractor is responsible for ensuring that work is performed in accordance with the specifications contained herein. The Contractor is solely responsible for all financial arrangements and payments to any subcontractor or assignees. 2.5. The job site should be kept neat, orderly and clean during the entire project timeline. The Contractor shall remove all extraneous materials, equipment and litter associated with the performed work from the area before final payment will be awarded. A garbage containment system must be used which may include a dumpster, dump trailer or any device approved by FWC project manager. 2.6. Restrooms will not be provided within the residence. A portable toilet must always be on the job site for use by crew members at the contractor’s expense OR the contractor must locate off-site public restroom facilities for use, if needed. 2.7. Any damage to existing state or county property (i.e. roads, culverts, buildings, structures, fences, gates, signs, landscaping, trees or other natural resources) caused by the Contractor and not within the scope of the project will be the responsibility of the Contractor Anticipated date for Responses to Written Questions March 26, 2026
