Renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot in Aspinwall, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a sidewalk / parking lot.
This project involves the rehabilitation of an existing retaining wall along 6th Street in the Borough of Aspinwall. Construction activities will include, but are not limited to: site mobilization, selective demolition, tieback design and installation, shotcrete installation, and protection of utilities. Also included in this project are associated traffic control, site fencing and protection, site restoration, site photography, and all incidental items required to complete the work, complete in place. Proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside with the project name. All proposals must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder's Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of Borough of Aspinwall, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. The Proposals must remain firm for sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during this period without forfeiting his Bid guarantee. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workmans Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. The Borough of Aspinwall reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, and to waive any informality therein. The Borough reserves the right to award a contract for all or any portions of the project and accompanying work listed in the proposal, and to add or delete portions of the work after award of the contract with the contract price determined for the unit prices within the contract documents. Pennsylvania prevailing wage rates will be required to be paid on this contract. Question Deadline 01/23/2026 at 11:00 AM ET All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
