The Town of Cave Creek is proposing to combine multiple paving projects into one complete project. The projects consist of four roads requiring complete pulverization and 3-inch-thick pavement installation, as well as one road requiring a full width 3-inch surface mill and 3-inch overlay. The pulverization and pave projects will involve the complete pulverization of existing pavement while mixing recycled asphalt into the subgrade to create a solid road base. Any materials not acceptable for use in the subgrade base must be hauled off and properly disposed of. After pulverization, the contractor will grade and compact the subgrade prior to the placement of new asphalt, which must be installed in accordance with MAG standards. Any existing roadway that does not meet the Town's standard of 22 feet wide will be widened to meet standards. The full width surface mill and overlay projects will include a 3-inch mill of the existing roadway followed by a 3-inch overlay, also in accordance with MAG standards. Bids are to be submitted by the specified deadline, and late responses will not be accepted. All proposals must be submitted and labeled with the project title and include the Offeror's name and address. Proposals must be completed in ink or typewritten and accompanied by a complete data sheet. The successful bidder will be required to provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds, and insurances as specified, naming the Town as an additional insured. The Town will retain 10 percent of any payment until the project is fully completed, equipment demobilized, the site cleared, and proof of lien release provided. Competitive proposals for the specified services will be received at the indicated location until the cited time and date, and the preparation of the response will be at the expense of the respondent.
