The District is seeking experienced architectural firms with demonstrated expertise in all aspects of planning, design, and oversight for new construction and modernization of TK-12 educational facilities. The selected firm will work collaboratively with District staff and stakeholders to align projects with District priorities and budgetary constraints, and to deliver architectural and engineering services under a formal contract. The Project Architect will also coordinate with District administration, site advisory groups, and community members as needed. Firms must demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with District staff, the Superintendent, Chief Business Officer, Director of Facilities, advisory committees, program managers, outside consultants, and state agencies such as the California Department of Education (CDE), the Division of the State Architect (DSA), and the Office of Public-School Construction (OPSC). Architectural submittals must address the following and may not exceed 30 pages (excluding cover letters, dividers, and appendices): - Cover letter of interest (maximum of two pages) - Firm's organization, background, and credentials - Team structure and resumes of key personnel - Relevant experience and portfolio of completed projects - References - Proposed approach to services - General price list Proposers must review and accept the District's standard form agreements and insurance requirements, which are non-negotiable. Any concerns or requested clarifications regarding these agreements must be clearly stated in the SOQ. Guidelines from the OPSC on DVBE (Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise) participation, where applicable, should be addressed in the SOQ.
