Description

Demolition, site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Stamford, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a 150,000-square-foot educational facility.

Plans have been approved to replace the old Roxbury School structure on West Hill Road in Stamford, Connecticut. The project involves demolishing portions of the existing building and constructing a new school facility that will expand grade offerings from kindergarten through fifth grade to kindergarten through eighth grade. The new school will accommodate an increase in enrolment from 500 to 850 students. Preliminary work, including geothermal well installation and partial demolition, is scheduled to begin in July 2026. Major construction will commence in November 2026 and is expected to conclude by summer 2028, with the new school opening in August 2028. The old school will be demolished after the new facility becomes operational.
