The project involves the 2025 Water System Improvements Project for the Town of Osgood. The work includes replacement of pumps, actuators, valves, filter media, recoating of clarifiers, HVAC work, and additional high priority water treatment plant items, as well as water distribution improvements such as hydrant assemblies and valve replacements. The project also includes all appurtenances, restoration, testing, and all other work required for completion of the project. Bids are requested for a single prime contract, and bid submission should follow the Bid Form provided. The Bidder shall be in compliance with all Federal Contract Provisions of Part 11B. The goals for this Project are: 7% MBE and 5% WBE. This section covers preparation of surfaces, standard for materials, application standards for interior, exterior, immersed and non-immersed surfaces to be painted. The Contractor shall furnish materials, equipment, tools and labor necessary for total completion. This section is intended to include all work and materials necessary for completion of the work, any incidental item of material, labor or detail required for the proper execution and completion of the work and omitted from this section but obviously required by governing codes, local regulations, trade practices or operational functions, shall be provided as a part of the work without extra charge, even though not specifically detailed or mentioned. B. The object of these specifications is to describe the materials and workmanship necessary to provide complete protection of the surface to be coated and to provide a neat finished appearance. Coating shall be done at such times as the Contractor and Engineer may agree upon in order that dust-free and neat work be obtained. All surfaces shall be prepared and all coatings shall be applied strictly in accordance with the most recent manufacturer's printed instructions and shall be performed in a manner satisfactory to the Engineer. The Contractor shall furnish the Engineer reasonable equipment for obtaining such information as he may desire respecting the progress and execution of the work and the character of materials. The Contractor shall, upon request, furnish the Engineer with copies of expense bills for transportation charges, materials and equipment. In the event of costplus limited work as authorized in writing by the Owner, the Contractor shall submit daily payrolls and equipment ownership/rental charges in addition to the cost of materials.
