Halifax Transit is seeking proposals from qualified suppliers to provide approximately 4,412 kg of green hydrogen over a continuous delivery period of 3-5 months for operational consumption at Halifax Transit facilities. The supply must include all necessary equipment and tools up to the dispensing unit. The solution must be deployable without requiring civil construction, as no civil works will be undertaken or funded. Green hydrogen must be delivered trucked-in (not generated on-site) using trailer-mounted dispensers or equivalent, meet 99.9% industrial-grade purity, and be certified as renewable electricity-based electrolysis. Suppliers must comply with all transportation, vehicle, pressure, storage, and safety standards referenced in the RFP, provide the required documentation and training, and ensure compatibility with Halifax Transit’s refueling interfaces. Delivery, storage, safety, training, technical support, and site optimization are all included in the scope of work. Proposals must follow the prescribed format and submission instructions, be submitted electronically, and include sections on team composition, methodology, quality assurance, and work plan. Technical and cost proposals must be separated, and proponents should reference all applicable RFP sections in their responses.
