Paving and renovation of a multi-residential development in Somerville, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
The project consists of, but is not limited to, the removal and replacement of existing concrete stairs, handrails, driveway, sidewalks, and curbing at 125 Jaques Street. Bids must be submitted electronically. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit of no less than five percent of the greatest possible bid amount, made payable to the Somerville Housing Authority. General bidders are required to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office, with a combined participation benchmark not less than 13% of the final contract price including accepted alternates. The Contractor and all subcontractors are required to strive to achieve workforce participation benchmarks of 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities.
