Renovation of an office development in Simcoe, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a office development.

The contractor shall carry out interior renovation works at the Gilbertson Administration Building, 12 Gilbertson Drive, Simcoe, Ontario, in accordance with the provided drawings, specifications, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The work includes demolition of selected walls, construction of new walls, supply and installation of commercial-grade doors, creation of new wall openings, supply and installation of a commercial pass-through sliding window, reinforcement of structures if required, supply and installation of new floor finishes as per the approved flooring layout, obtaining and closing all required building permits, site coordination and safety, and delivery of completed works and documentation as specified. The contractor is also responsible for site verification, providing all labour and materials, warranty, attending a pre-construction meeting, construction coordination, site mobilization, demolition, protection of existing conditions, adherence to installation standards and health and safety requirements, quality control, coordination with the owner, site cleanliness, and delivery of as-built documentation and deficiency correction. Exclusions include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, IT, or fire alarm works, and furniture relocation unless otherwise noted. Any proposed product alternatives must be identified prior to material ordering or confirmation. Pre-qualification requirements: Only pre-qualified bidders under contract through the related RFPQ – OPS-FAC-24-17 are eligible to submit bids. All bidders must have a Bidding System Vendor account and be registered as a Plan Taker for this opportunity. The following are required for bid submission: Submission Form, Schedule of Items and Prices, Insurance Documents (Commercial General Liability and Automobile coverage each $2 Million), Performance Security ($5,750), Health and Safety Policy, and final list of proposed subcontractors. The County reserves the right to request evidence of experience, ability, capacity, financial resources, and reputation, and to approve or reject any proposed subcontractors. Bids must comply with all mandatory submission and technical requirements at the time of submission; failure to comply will result in rejection. Only electronic submissions through the Bidding System are accepted. Bids are irrevocable for 90 days after the submission deadline. The project is only open to qualified contractors as outlined in the pre-qualification process related to RFPQ – OPS-FAC-24-17..
