Lawn care and related maintenance services are to be provided for various township properties. Bids must be made on standard proposal forms as specified, enclosed in sealed envelopes showing the bidder’s name and address and the project name. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the amount bid, subject to a minimum of $500 and a maximum of $20,000. All contractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Revenue, and a business certificate must be provided with the bid. Contractors must notify their subcontractors and suppliers of the need to submit proof of business registration, extending through all levels of the project. Before final payment, proof of business registration for all subcontractors and suppliers used in the contract must be submitted, or the contractor must attest that no subcontractors were used. Compliance with applicable New Jersey statutes and regulations is required. The Township reserves the right to award contract extensions, determine the contract to be awarded, reject any or all bids, and waive informalities as permitted or required by law.
