Furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and performing all work for the City of Wasilla E Glenwood Ave Railroad Crossing Improvements State of Alaska Title 36 wage rates shall apply. The City of Wasilla is an equal opportunity employer. Contractors are required to be licensed by the City of Wasilla and State of Alaska to perform the work. Failure to be a recognized planholder will be cause for the bid to be deemed non-responsive. The location is along E. Glenwood Avenue, between intersections at S. Woodcrest Drive and E. Old Matanuska Road, including the Alaska Railroad Crossing. Approximately 800 linear feet of the improvements are proposed. There is currently no sidewalk along E. Glenwood Ave. in the area of the Railroad Crossing. This project will connect the ends of sidewalks between S. Woodcrest Drive and E. Matanuska Road. In addition to sidewalk, railroad crossing gates will be replaced in this project by the Alaska Railroad Corporation. Additional improvements include improving sight distance at the Railroad crossing by vegetation clearing. Furthermore, revised traffic marking, signing and striping, and patch paving, are a part of the overall intersection and pedestrian improvements.
