The work consists of providing bids for various materials including #1 washed stone, #1a washed stone, #2 washed stone, tailings, item 4 gravel, screen fill, stone fill, crusher run gravel, winter snow sand, #1 drainage stone, #2 drainage stone, #3 drainage stone, #4 drainage stone, and blacktop. In addition, bids are sought for a fully insured tree contractor for tree trimming and removal, with bids to be submitted for both hourly and daily rates, with and without a ground man, and with and without a chipper. The contractor must have at least three million dollars in liability insurance, a truck with at least 60 feet aerial working height, be qualified to work around electric lines, and submit an OSHA certificate and insurance certificate with the bid. Bids are also being sought to resurface (1 compacted blacktop) a section of Mitchell Street, approximately 2.0 miles. Instructions to bidders include that all bids must be received at the Town Hall in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder, accompanied by a non-collusive bidding certificate, and must comply with all stated requirements.
