The scope of work includes construction services to rehabilitate an existing access road and associated areas at Mount Morris Dam. The project will involve repairing and improving the road surface and related infrastructure to ensure safe and reliable access to the dam facility. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Located in Letchworth State Park operated by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation on the North side of Mount Morris Dam (MMD) there is an access road leading approximately 3/4 mile from Park Road down to the North training wall of MMD and around to a sloped gravel shoreline egress that is used as a boat launch. The area can be seen in aerial photo, Attachment #3 - North Access Aerial View. The North access road is infrequently used by USACE operations and maintenance staff. This stone/gravel/shale roadway was rehabilitated in 2013 and 2019. There is a field area between the two pipe gates, closest to the second pipe gate, that can be used for equipment staging and storage during the work. This area must be returned to its original condition upon completion of work. The two pipe gates are kept padlocked to prevent public access and can have a contractor lock daisy chained in to allow immediate contractor access during the project. There is one unimproved maintenance road/trail that crosses the access road; however, it is minimally used and should cause no conflict.
