Site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Des Plaines, Illinois. Working plans call for the construction of a 15,000-square-foot, two-story above grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

The Fire Station #62 project includes the demolition of the existing building and new construction of a two-story building with a basement which will encompass the properties from 1313 Oakton to 1333 Oakton. The current conceptual design includes an elevator, generator, staff/public parking, and the following: • First Floor: Kitchen/Day Room, Sleeping Quarters, Lobby, Public Restrooms/Storm Shelter, a 3-Bay Apparatus Floor, and storage. • Second Floor: Fire Administration Offices, Conference Room, Data/IT Room. • Basement: Fitness Room, Training Room, Mechanical Room, and Storage. The project is included in the City's 2026-2030 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of January 13, 2026, project is in pre-construction, design team identified. Construction is expected in first quarter of 2026. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
