Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Brockport, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.
SUNY Brockport and DASNY are soliciting bids for whole-building standby generators for Briggs, Bramley, and Perry Halls. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: providing three (3) new outdoor, natural-gas standby generator systems one per dorm capable of carrying each buildings full emergency and standby (whole-building) loads; providing service-rated Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS) sized and classified per load categories (life-safety, legally required standby, optional standby), with bypass-isolation; providing new emergency distribution panels, feeders, and conduits to pick up designated loads and refed existing emergency panels as required; exterior generator enclosure; concrete flatwork; site restoration; hazardous materials abatement. One Electrical Construction Contract will be awarded for this project - General Construction (CR3), with a base scope estimate value between $2,005,000 and $2,240,000. The bidder or its principals shall have a minimum of five (5) years experience in similar work and shall provide a list of five (5) contracts of similar size, scope, and complexity completed or substantially completed within the last ten (10) years. Projects with complex technical specification sections may require additional experience. Contract Security, EEO/AA Insurance, and NY State Vendor Responsibility Questionnaire compliance are required. All proposers must be in compliance with New York State business registration requirements, and business entities providing professional engineering services must have a Certificate of Authorization to Provide Engineering Services in New York State. Proposals must be submitted in the full legal name of the proposer or the full legal name plus a registered assumed name, if any. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) and Minority/Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) contracting goals apply. Question Deadline 02/02/2026 Prospective bidders shall examine the Contract Documents carefully and, before bidding, shall make a written request to the Owner and Design Professional, for an interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency, or error therein which should be discovered by a reasonably prudent bidder. Every request for such interpretation must be received at least ten (10) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bid.
