The project is awarded to M&J Civil Construction in the amount of $2,535,188.60 The work consists of removal and lawful disposal of the existing fishing pier, including piles, deck and structure, shelter, roof, lighting, conduits and conductors, water piping, benches, concrete bulk debris, concrete ramp, capping onshore buried utilities, and all miscellaneous and supporting items of work. Bidders are required to furnish all labor, materials, supervision, and perform all work necessary to complete the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid, payable without conditions as a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the Bidder will promptly execute an agreement in accordance with their proposal and all terms and conditions. The outside envelope of the bid must be clearly marked with the project title, project number, bid due date and time, and the contractor's name, address, and Louisiana contractor's license number. It is requested, but not mandatory, that the entire bid package be submitted in duplicate; the duplicate copy can be a photocopy. All applicable laws, ordinances, and regulations of authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply throughout the contract.
