Sealed bids are being received for the Pelican Park Sand Volleyball Courts. Complete bidding documents may be obtained from the Engineer, Batture LLC, or downloaded electronically from the City Blueprint website. All bids must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the sum of the base bid and all alternates, in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond as outlined in the instructions. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and payment bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must meet the requirements of the State of Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law. Preference may be given to materials, supplies, and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Louisiana in accordance with law. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids. An optional pre-bid conference will be held. Bidders have the option to submit bids electronically through the City Blueprint Project Plan Room. The scope of work associated with this set of Contract Documents includes the demolition of existing site features and removal of existing trees, site stripping, earthwork, and grading, installation of athletic lighting including concrete foundations, installation of sand volleyball courts, installation of an athletic facility building, installation of drainage utilities and electrical conduit, installation of a new parking lot and driveway, installation of concrete walkways, and establishment of finished grade hydroseed/sod, rain gardens, and landscape plantings around the sand volleyball courts perimeter.
