A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The project consists of 11,200 linear feet of 8 to 21-inch sanitary sewer replacement and appurtenances, 2,200 linear feet of 8 to 15-inch sanitary sewer rehabilitation, and 6,200 linear feet of 2 to 6-inch water main replacement and appurtenances. Bidders must be licensed to perform the work as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the bid must accompany each bid. The Owner encourages bidding by small, minority, and female contractors and does not discriminate based on handicapped status. Bids from qualified disadvantaged business enterprises are encouraged. Award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, considering quality, performance, and time specified in the proposals. All iron and steel products used in this project must be produced in the United States.
