All bids must be submitted in an envelope sealed by the bidder or designated representative. All bids should be addressed to the City Manager, c/o City Clerk's Office, City Hall, 215 Church Avenue, P.O. Box 1130, Oshkosh, WI 54903-1130. On the outside of the envelope, the bidder should distinctly indicate the name and address of the bidder and in the lower left corner should clearly indicate the envelope contains a sealed bid for: "OSHKOSH PUBLIC LIBRARY ROOF RELAY." Any bids not complying with these instructions will not be considered submitted to the City, and shall be returned to the bidder unopened and unread. The City of Oshkosh (herein referred to as the City) is requesting bids from contractors for all labor, materials, equipment and related work specified within this Invitation for Bid for roof replacement of select roof areas at Oshkosh Public Library, located at 106 Washington Avenue, Oshkosh, WI 54901. It is the responsibility of the bidder to carefully read the entire bid packet listed herein which contains all provisions applicable to successful completion and submission of a bid. In general, the Project Base Bid consists of: 1. Removing existing roof system, salvaging concrete tiles for re-installation, down to existing underlayment; 2. Relaying of existing concrete tile, with any new pieces being segregated to the east and west slopes of north elevation; 3. Inclusion of 10% new concrete tile; 4. Providing wood battens; 5. Providing self-adhering ice and water protection membrane, over existing underlayment; 6. Providing perimeter sheet metal flashings and related Work on north side; 7. Various sheet metal and sealant repairs as indicated on attached repair documents.
