**Per Owner the bid date has been extended from 02/12/26 to 02/19/26** Questions and Answer Period Closes January 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM EST. Questions regarding this event may be submitted through the Greensboro eProcurement System A. This specification outlines AV Systems Integrator (AVI) in the drawings requirements for AVI to furnish and install a new sound reinforcement system in Greensboro, NC, First Horizon Coliseum Arena. The City of Greensboro, NC, is the owner. The AVI shall provide all necessary equipment, rigging, hardware, and low-voltage wiring for a completely operational system, including sound, control, and rigging. The electrical work required for this project is outlined on the project AV Sheets and will be provided under separate contracts by the owner. Rigging system designs for loudspeaker support are to be provided by the AVI and signed off by the owner's Structural Engineer. B. The system shall not be considered complete until the completion of as-built documentation, final system commissioning, and facility personnel training. This facet of the services to be provided by the AVI is deemed very important to the satisfactory completion of the contract. To that end, a final payment reserve of 10% of the system purchase price shall be withheld until the documentation package and training described in Part III are delivered. C. The drawings and equipment product list describe systems A. Electrical Work by facility staff and provided by the owner. (AVI to include the listed allowance for this work) AVI to coordinate with the electrical staff 1. Power amplifiers for new loudspeaker arrays are to be located on a new East catwalk platform provided by the owner. Coordinate the electrical power system with the city electrical contractor. Power requirements are: a. 31 total 208VAC 30-amp circuits with balanced loads across 3 phases. 1) AVI to provide rack power strip "tails" at the top of the rack for connection to EC panel board "tails" 2) Subbass amplifiers = 8 each at 30A per ckt. 3) Mains amplifiers = three amps per cluster, total 24 amplifiers. 12 each 30A ckts 4) Fills/spares = 7 amps for delay + 2 spare. 4 each 30A ckts 5) Court/Dasher = 3 amps at 30A per ckt. 2 each 30A ckts b. Event-level amplifiers used for the under-balcony and concourse are located in the event-level AV room. Use existing amplifier power ckts in existing racks B. Catwalk amplifier rack platform and cable trays 1. Owner will provide engineering and construction of a new amplifier rack platform at the building centerline of the East catwalk. (AVI to include the listed allowance for this work) Schematic views of the needed platform are shown on drawing AV302. AVI is to coordinate the amp rack properties and equipment location with the Engineer and installer for the platform construction. C. Loudspeaker Rigging is to be performed by AVI-certified riggers. Rigging design by the AVI rigging integrator and signed off by the facility's structural engineer. Loudspeaker support includes: 1. 8 each line array systems with 12 modules each attached to the manufacturer's rigging grid. 2 points per cluster with point load location and weight shown on drawings. Aiming for optimal conditions per field and manufacturer's recommendations. 2. 16 each subbass enclosures attached to circular truss using a total of 8 rigging points. The point load location and weight are shown on the drawings. Aiming for field conditions and the manufacturer's recommendations. 3. 6 each dasher fill loudspeakers attached to the manufacturer's U-bracket and suspended from 2 rigging points at each location. The point load location and weight are shown on the drawings. Aiming for field conditions and the manufacturer's recommendations. 4. 20 each upper-level delay fill loudspeakers attached to the manufacturer's U-bracket and suspended from 2 rigging points at each location. The point load location and weight are shown on the drawings. Aiming for field conditions and the manufacturer's recommendations. 5. Court/Ice has six loudspeakers attached to the manufacturer's line array grid system and mounted within the scoreboard--four rigging points for two clusters. The point load location and weight are shown on the drawings. The setup is designed to meet field conditions and comply with the manufacturer's recommendations. 6. Typical attachment to the building truss by Beam clamps, 7. Typical loudspeaker suspension by wire rope 8. Loudspeakers are to be supported by the manufacturer's rigging grid, U-brackets, and Z-beam. D. Loudspeaker Cables: 1. The center cluster/sub/scoreboard fill cable is to be exposed cable approved by the electrical inspector with prefabricated connector breakouts for connection to the rack amplifier breakout panel. 2. Dasher/Delay is to be exposed plenum-rated cable attached to building structure with appropriate "j-hook" or "clamp" attachment. 3. Existing concourse and under-balcony speaker cables may be repurposed for this project. E. Network 1. AVI to provide a new single-mode fiber network distribution for AV network data from the control booth to event-level AV racks and continuing to Catwalk amplifier racks. AVI can utilize the OFE breakout panel located on the North catwalk. F. Removal of existing equipment and delivery to the owner as surplus equipment. 1. AVI to remove existing loudspeakers, amplifier racks, and cables. AVI is responsible for removing the equipment and delivering it to the owner, who will provide a means of storage. a. 1st level Concourse ceiling loudspeakers (including ceiling tile replacement as part of renovation). This work is part of Add Alternate 1 b. 2nd level Concourse wall mount loudspeakers. This work is part of Add Alternate 2. c. Bowl loudspeaker arrays i. Existing main arrays - 16 each, approximate weight 500lbs (see photo in Appendix 1) ii. LF 48" W x 36" H x 36" D, two each per array (32 total), 36 cubic feet each iii. MF/HF 24" W x 36" H x 24" D, two each per array (32 total), 12 cubic feet each iv. HF panel 72" W x 24" H, 16 each, one each per array (16 total) v. Existing upper delay speakers 24 positions. 4 cubic feet each d. Bowl Catwalk Crowsnest amplifier racks and electronics - (5 total) 24 cubic feet each e. Scoreboard loudspeakers. (replaced by new system loudspeakers) f. Owner is to retain the following components. Deliver these items to the Coliseum i. Event level AV rack - Lab Gruppen 2-channel amplifiers - (12 each) ii. Event level AV rack - BSS digital signal processors. g. Bowl loudspeaker arrays are to remain functional during the installation of the new loudspeaker system. h. Bowl loudspeaker arrays may be removed only after the new loudspeaker arrays installation is complete and functional. A. Work Included 1. Provide all labor and material for the complete installation of the sound reinforcement system as hereafter specified and shown. 2. AVI shall review the entire project package, including drawings and notes for other trades that may impact AVI's work, and make provision for such. 3. Equipment shall be new, current production, with original warranty. Demo, refurbished, used, or B-stock equipment shall not be acceptable. 4. Quantities are listed for reference only. It is AVI's responsibility to verify the quantities of all components. 5. All equipment must be installed in a neat and orderly fashion by competent workmen according to the manufacturer's instructions. 6. All system components shall be prewired entirely, with all field connections clearly labeled. All equipment shall be UL- and/or CE-listed and shall comply with the National Electrical Code or the equivalent authority, as well as all applicable regulations of serving utilities and governmental bodies having jurisdiction. 7. All audio system equipment shall not be stored at the job site unless agreed to by the owner. Equipment shall be moved to the job site from a conditioned space only when scheduled for installation. B. Coordinated Work 1. Coordinate with the owner, facility operations, and related trades to schedule the work and ensure complete installation in accordance with the schedule outlined by the owner.
