This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Irvine, California. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
The Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency and the San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency require water and wastewater system inspection, maintenance and repair services for the Toll Roads as more specifically described in Exhibit A to the Form of Contract (Section III). The San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor Agency manages the 15-mile 73 Toll Road, which stretches from Newport Beach to San Juan Capistrano in southwest Orange County. Officials from 14 cities and county Supervisorial districts near the 73 Toll Road are appointed to serve on the Agency's Board of Directors. The Board makes major decisions about construction, administration, and finances affecting the 73 Toll Road. The Foothill/Eastern Transportation Corridor Agency manages the 241, 261 and 133 Toll Roads which link the Riverside (SR-91) Freeway near the Orange/Riverside County border to I-5 in Irvine and to communities in south Orange County. Officials from 15 cities and county Supervisorial districts near the 241, 261, and 133 Toll Roads are appointed to serve on the Agency's Board of Directors. The Board makes major decisions about construction, administration, and finances affecting the 241, 261, and 133 Toll Roads. Due to the remote nature of most of the Foothill/Eastern mainline toll plazas; the TCA was unable to connect to existing municipal water and wastewater facilities. Therefore, alternative water utilities were constructed at several locations. One TCA reservoir system provides water storage for potable water, irrigation, and fire-fighting capacity to the Windy Ridge Northbound and Southbound mainline toll plazas. By contrast, the San Joaquin Hills facilities are served directly from a municipal water-supplier. Wastewater is however, handled through holding tanks that must be emptied on a regular basis on both corridors.
