Reference Number 0000409057 Bid Intent Not Available The City of Steamboat Springs is seeking a qualified contractor for professional services related to constructing an addition to the historical Howelsen Hill Ski Area Tow House. Question Deadline 01/21/2026 at 5:00 PM MT Questions are submitted online Yes, Questions must be submitted in writing only, via the electronic submission on online. Proposers are cautioned not to contact other City staff during this RFP process. Failure to comply may result in disqualification. The City of Steamboat Springs has a goal to complete the addition by June 30, 2026. Please include a project schedule with your proposal submission. The city understands that this is subject to change and will require further discussion with the successful candidate. Please include 10 weeks for contracting. No work shall begin until a signed notice to proceed is received from the city and all contracts and bonds are fully executed. During the contracting period, the successful contractor will work with the city to establish a final project budget. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Bid Deposit Required - Insurance Required Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 100 % The City of Steamboat Springs reserves the right to reject any or all bids and proposals, to waive informalities or irregularities, in the proposals received, and to reject non-conforming, non-responsive, conditional, or qualified proposals, and to accept the bid/proposal which, in the City's judgment, best serves the interest of the City of Steamboat Springs and its citizens. The City of Steamboat Springs expects that the successful proponent has carefully examined the plans prepared by Eric Smith & Associates (ESA) and has provided a complete proposal to successfully complete the addition by June 30, 2026. The structure(s) shall be constructed per plans & specs and adhere to all local authorities having jurisdiction, Community Development Code, and the Building Code as referenced on the contract documents. The Contractor shall be responsible for the construction of the Tow House addition as described in the attached plans that have been provided (Exhibit A and Exhibit B). The contractor will also be responsible for all demolition, disposal, and protection of any historical elements during construction. The successful candidate shall include in their proposal all safety, coordination with city staff, coordination of all inspections including third-party material testing, and any related measures necessary to keep the users of the Howelsen Hill area safe during the project including but not limited to fencing, exterior lighting, and signage. Contractor will also be required to include and maintain all required stormwater and erosion control measures to control tracking onto adjacent roadways and or parking areas
