Renovation of a multi-residential development in Woburn, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Woburn Housing Authority, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from Contractors for the Bathroom Modernization at the Webster Avenue 200-2 Family Housing Development for the Woburn Housing Authority in Woburn , Massachusetts, in accordance with the documents prepared by Raymond T. Guertin, Architect. The Project consists of : Demolition of selective wall and floor construction and finishes , mechanical , plumbing, and electrical, and bathroom fixtures. Installation of new work to provide Bathroom Modernization at 17 Units at Buildings A1, B1 & F as shown on the drawings. Alternate No. 1 - Bathroom Modernization at 11 Units at Buildings B2 and D. Alternate No. 2 - Bathroom Modernization at 13 Units at Buildings A3 and C. Alternate No. 3 - Bathroom Modernization at 14 Units at Buildings A2 and E. . The work under the Contract consists of: 1. Bathroom modernization at seventeen (17) apartment units at Buildings A1, B1 & F, as shown on the drawings, including the following: a. Demolition of flooring, toilet room accessories, plumbing fixtures, selective wall removal, and mechanical and electrical items. Installation of new wall surfaces, flooring, doors, windows, plumbing fixtures, bath exhaust fans, electrical, toilet room accessories, etc. b. Painting of entire bathroom including walls and ceilings, doors and frames, and associated trim, unless noted otherwise. 2. The existing buildings in which the construction is to be carried out, will be occupied by the residents. Prior to the end of each day's work, the sink and toilet must be re-installed in good and proper working order prior to the contractor leaving the job for the day. 3. Disposal of all items above at a legal off-site dump in accordance with all laws, ordinances, rules and regulations pertaining to the disposal of materials from the job site. 4. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside of the project site. 5. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. 6. All Work either shown on the drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of GENERALBUILDING CONSTRUCTION. Filed sub-bidders must be DCAMM certified for the trades listed below and bidders must include a current DCAMM Sub Bidder Certificate of Eligibility and a signed DCAMM Sub Bidder's Update Statement. SUBTRADES: Section 09.91.00 Painting Section 22.00.00 Plumbing Section 23.00.00 Ventilation Section 26.00.00 Electrical. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (considering all alternates) and made payable to the Woburn Housing Authority. General bidders must agree to contract with minority and women business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO), formerly known as SOMWBA . The combined participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 13% percent of the final contract price including accepted alternates. Request for waivers must be sent to EOHLC (Chad.Howard@mass.gov) 5 calendar days prior to the General Bid date . NO WAIVERS WILL BE GRANTED AFTER THE GENERAL BIDS ARE OPENED. The work is estimated to cost $ 1,408,000.00 (Base Bid - $435,200.00 Alternates - $972,800.00) The participation goalsfor this projectshall be 15.3% for minorities and 6.9% for women. Completion- 190 consecutive calendar days. Question Deadline 01/22/2026 Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request to the Architect.
