The Public Works Department is looking for landscaping contractors to handle the mowing and maintenance at various holding ponds in Escambia County. The ponds are broken down into 4 lists, with either 100 or 50 pond locations throughout the County. The maximum number of zones awarded per vendor is 4 zones. Contract is for mowing/maintenance, including some herbicide spraying for 4 rounds per year, in April, June, August, and October. Work shall consist of: Mowing the pond area to a maximum height four inches (4"). Each mowing shall include weed-eating and spraying around the structures and fence. Each mowing shall include litter removal prior to mowing. Each mowing shall include debris removal prior to mowing. This includes but is not limited to trees, limbs, or other objects that have been thrown into the pond. Each mowing shall include repairs to any damages cause during the maintenance of the pond. This includes but is not limited to the fencing, gates, slope, or bottom damage from being stuck slippage. Question Submission Deadline:January 23, 2026, 1:00pm All inquiries concerning the solicitation, including, but not limited to, the scope of work, specifications, additional requirements, attachments, general or supplemental terms and conditions, must be submitted to the Office of Purchasing via email through the online portal A bidder may withdraw its bid, either personally or by written request, at any time prior to the scheduled time for Bid Opening. Requests to alter or withdraw a bid must be submitted in writing to the Purchasing Director. Bids may not be altered or unilaterally withdrawn by the contractor after the scheduled time for bid opening. All bids not so withdrawn shall constitute an irrevocable offer and will remain subject to acceptance or rejection by the County for a period of 90 calendar days. All bids will remain subject to acceptance or rejection by Escambia County for ninety (90) calendar days after the day of the bid opening. The County may, in its sole discretion, release any bid and return the bid security prior to the end of this period. The County reserves the right to add or delete any item(s) from this bid or resulting contract when deemed to be in the County's best interest.
