The project consists of the replacement of 60 windows in the Chautauqua Municipal Building at 2 Academy Street, Mayville, New York. The contractor is required to furnish and install new storefront windows, including demolition and disposal of existing windows. Window frames should meet or exceed a Tubelite frame 2x4-1/2 T14000 thermal storefront specification and include a thermal subsill. Frames are to be painted Linetec LT612 burnt sun or equivalent. Glazing must be a minimum of 1” clear Solorban 60 to match the existing windows. Bidders are encouraged to participate in a walk-through of the worksite, available upon request between 9 A.M. and 12 noon Monday-Friday starting January 15, 2026. Each proposal must include a certified check or bond for five percent (5%) of the Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bonds each equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price will be required from the successful bidder. The successful bidder must be prepared to offer sureties and sign the contract for the work within seven (7) days after receiving the Notice of Award. All bid proposals must include a signed, non-collusive certificate. The Town may award the bid based on the Lowest Responsible Bid or Best Value. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive incidental informalities, and accept the bid that best meets the intent of the specifications and the best interest of the Town.
