Removal, disposal, and installation of nine new windows at the Carlson Community Center, 50 W. Lake Rd., Mayville, NY 14757. Bids must be sealed and clearly marked Carlson Center Windows. A non-collusive bidding certificate must accompany all bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to accept the bid or bids deemed most advantageous to the Village. Specifications are available by request from the Village Office or by email. Building Description The Carlson Community Building is a single story block building. The building was built in 2009 and measures approximately 32' x 70'. Scope of Work 1. Project Safety: Set up the jobsite work area to operate in compliance with all applicable OSHA Safety Standards. 2. Remove, dispose of and replace nine (9) exterior windows located in the Carlson Community Center. a. Carefully remove existing window frames, dispose of debris. b. Clean, rough opening to accept new window units. c. Install new vinyl window units following all manufacturers' recommendations. d. Install hardware, install trim moldings and weather seals. 3. Windowsills Requiring Repairs: a. All loose and deteriorated aggregates shall be scaled back to solid substrate material as necessary and rinsed clean with water. 4. Clean Up and Building Security: a. The building premises shall be kept free of accumulating waste materials and debris daily. b. Upon completion of the project the building premises shall be left broom clean. c. All windows must meet or exceed the ENERGY STAR certification for windows for the Northern Region, or equivalent. For all window types submitted, vendors must include Northern Region ENERGY STAR Certification or provide the individual U-Factor and Solar Heat Gain Coefficients by window type." All windows must meet or exceed the ENERGY STAR certification for windows for the Northern Region, or equivalent.
