As of March 16, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established. The HVAC system at the Heber District Office has failed and requires full replacement of all AC units and furnaces to restore functionality. The existing system includes three outdoor AC units, two basement furnace units, and one attic fan coil, all of which are outdated and use R22 refrigerant. The units are approximately 33 years old, exceeding their life expectancy, and the furnaces have failing heat exchangers and non-functional dampers. The replacement will involve installing new single-phase units for all components, including replacing the two existing three-phase AC units with single-phase units. The new AC units must use 454B refrigerant and meet current energy efficiency and indoor air quality standards as required by the Federal Government. The contractor shall provide all necessary connections for electrical and water services, ensure proper shutdown of utilities when not in use, and maintain access control for public and forest service personnel during construction. Work includes start-up, testing and balancing, system checkout, owner training, and warranty. Construction hours are limited to 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
