Sealed proposals are invited for a single-prime General Construction Contract for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment required for the renovation of the Pasquotank County Board of Elections. All proposals must be lump sum. Complete plans and specifications can be obtained at the designated architect's office after registering as a bidder. Bidders must include the Identification of Minority Business Participation form and submit either Affidavit A or Affidavit B, as applicable, with their bid. All contractors must possess appropriate state licenses. General contractors must have a license classification for Building Contractor and, for a single-prime project that involves other trades, must have a proper General Contractors license. Bids must be accompanied by a deposit equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the proposal, either in cash, certified check, or bid bond. Contractors must comply with Federal and State E-Verify Requirements. Performance and payment bonds for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price are required. Payments will be made at ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates, with final payment upon completion and acceptance. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days after the scheduled closing time. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
