The protection of the public water supply against contamination or pollution is ofthe essence of this Work and is of more importance than any other single feature herein; and the CONTRACTOR shall insure the protection thereof. Any contamination or pollution resulting from acts or omission of the CONTRACTOR shall, in addition to other remedies, be cause for termination of any Contract without notice. The design, materials, and construction of water facilities shall conform to the latest revision of the Ten States Standards except as overridden and/or modified by the Contract Documents. These general and detailed specifications form a part of the Contract Documents and shall govern the handling and installation ofthe pipe and appurtenances. These general and detailed specifications are subject to revision from one project to another. The CONTRACTOR shall make himself familiar with the current revision. These general and detailed specifications, MATERIAL and CONSTRUCTION, may be modified by the SPECIAL CONDITIONS contained within the Contract Documents. Within this document, the terms ENGINEER, INSPECTOR, and OWNER shall both be considered to be CENTRAL ARKANSAS WATER. The locations include Bainbridge Dr., Rivercrest Dr., Bryan St., C St., I St., Arthur St., Pilot Point Pl., Amarillo Cir., Riviera Cir., Ohio Cv., and Coolidge St. in Little Rock, and Edwards Ln., Adams St., Bunting Rd., and Perkins St. in Wrightsville, AR. Bidders must obtain an official set of contract documents from Central Arkansas Water and be listed on the plan holders list to ensure receipt of addendums or project updates. All bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond equal to at least 5% of the total bid. The Commission reserves the right to waive formalities, reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed to serve the best interest of Central Arkansas Water.
