Expression of interest is requested for Tender Package 3, Mechanical & Electrical, covering the supply and installation of mechanical equipment and systems, and electrical equipment and systems, both under a Design Assist GMP tender. Subcontractors are to assume responsibility for all labor and materials for their specific scope of work. All quotations must remain valid for the duration of the bid validity period. The lowest tender will not necessarily be accepted. Successful bidders must sign EllisDon's Standard Form of Subcontractor Agreement. Subcontracts over $100,000 are required to use the SUBcentre project management system and pay a non-negotiable Gate Three fee. Trades are required to follow, at a minimum, the latest edition of the Alberta Construction Trade Definitions for scope guidelines and standards. Pre-qualification requirements: All bidders must apply and meet EllisDon's Subguard criteria for contracts over $500,000 to enroll in Subcontractor Default Insurance (SDI). Subcontractors must obtain a contract performance security rating from EllisDon equal to or exceeding the subcontract amount, or provide alternate security acceptable to EllisDon. The Subcontractor Default Insurance Prequalification Application must be completed online. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
