Newfoundland Power invites companies to enter into a Standby Agreement for Electrical Services in Gander and the surrounding area. The Standby Agreement will last five years. Bidders are required to review the draft Standby Agreement and submit completed schedules of prices, personnel, subcontractors, experience, and equipment as posted. Only electronic submissions through the Bidding System are accepted. All bidders must have a Bidding System Vendor account and register as a Plan Taker. Documentation requirements include an insurance certificate, letters of good standing from Workplace NL and NLCSA, a current certificate of good standing for incorporated entities, proof of Environmental Awareness Training, and a business continuity plan. Heavy equipment used for the work must meet strict maintenance and certification standards. Contractors are responsible for maintaining and making available inspection and maintenance records for all equipment, including that used by subcontractors. Pricing schedules are required for personnel, services, and additional costs such as travel and materials. The contractor must comply with all applicable policies and procedures, and contractual obligations arise only upon execution of a Work Authorization Agreement. Multiple contractors may be selected for standby agreements, and work may be assigned at the quoted unit rates or through bidding among those with agreements. It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure all documentation is submitted and all addenda acknowledged.
