Demolition for a mixed-use development in Everglades City, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility.

Demolish two buildings at Carnestown, located at the corner of SR29US41 in Collier County, 32016 Tamiami Trail E, Ochopee, FL 34141. The National Park Service (NPS) Big Cypress National Preserve (BICY) seeks offers from full-service demolition contractors in South Florida who are qualified, licensed, and insured as required by State and local jurisdiction. The objective is the removal of both buildings and associated structures to restore the footprint of the building site to a fine graded condition. A site visit is recommended prior to submitting an offer. NPS documentation and pictures of the units are for general reference only. Onsite conditions may vary. Buildings and structures to be removed off-site include: Sheriff Office (approximately 55 years old, single story CMU structure, approx. 1200 SF, with sidewalks and ADA entrance ramp), Chamber of Commerce Building (single story wood building on raised CMU foundation, approx. 900 SF, with dilapidated wood stairs and decked walkways), Gazebo (slab on grade, pole structure, approx. 400 SF), and a shed outbuilding (14' x 8') plus chain-link fence. These properties are no longer functional and beyond economic repair. This Statement of Work includes removing two buildings, one gazebo, and one and the hauling/disposal of the debris appropriately. All components of the septic system on the property will be removed completely as part of this project. Slabs and raised foundations will be removed fully, as well as sidewalks, stairs, and ramps. Contractor shall remove all shrubbery and trees directly around both buildings and gazebo identified by the COR. Contractor shall remove 14' x 8' shed and chain link fence located on south side of site. Radio Tower, Tower Building, and Tower generator are to remain accessible and operational throughout entire contract. Rough grading and finish grading will be performed by the contractor. Water lines shall be disconnected from the site at the curb stop located near SR29 on the southwest side of the site. The remaining water pipe located under the asphalt pavement can be abandoned in place. The water lines in the Demolition footprint of the buildings must be removed to the edge of the asphalt pavement. When disposing of any components of the building units, the contractor shall dispose of all items according to Federal, State, and local laws and ordinances. The contractor shall provide a Waste Management Plan including plans to reuse, salvage, or recycle components of the building units where applicable. Waste disposal in landfills shall be minimized when possible. The contractor shall always keep the premises clean, free of accumulation of waste materials and rubbish, and the roads clean of all droppings from their trucks. The contractor shall operate only within the preserve property limits, which includes the property lines for the site. For any additional space needs that cannot be achieved within the preserve property limits, the contractor shall provide requirements for space and the preserve will work with the county and or state to determine available areas.
