Renovation of a mixed-use development in Lexington, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 52,000-square-foot educational facility; and educational facility.

The work consists of providing a metal retrofit framing and roof system over the existing flat roofs at Reeds Elementary School and metal roofs at West HS Annex. The project has a base bid of approximately 52,000 square feet, with an alternate to add a roof project at the West HS Annex building. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and distributing plans and specifications to suppliers or subcontractors. Only those attending the mandatory pre-bid meeting at both project sites will be permitted to submit bids. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid, and a 100% payment and performance bond will be required from the selected bidder. All bidders must have appropriate licensing in North Carolina, either a General Contractor's license with proper financial limits, or Specialty Roofing plus a Specialty Metal Erector license with proper financial limits. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive any requirements therein.
