Site work for a water / sewer project in Whittier, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of installation of approximately 4,000 linear feet of 12-inch and 8-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) water line and 950 linear feet of 12-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) water line installed by horizontal directional drilling with all necessary appurtenances and accessories. Each bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the State of North Carolina and be appropriately licensed as a Contractor. Additional bidding information and requirements are specified in the referenced conditions and packages. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, or reject non-conforming, non-responsive, or conditional bids. The contract may be awarded to the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder or bidders, taking into consideration quality, performance, and time. Question Deadline 02/04/2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
