Stearns County is in Central Minnesota just 60 miles northwest of the Minneapolis/ St. Paul area. The County encompasses an area of 1,362 square miles and contains 30 incorporated cities and 34 organized townships. With a 2020 census population of 158,947, Stearns County is the States seventh most populous county. The county seat and largest community is the city of St. Cloud, which is located along the eastern most edge and lies in between Benton and Sherburne Counties. These positions provide services in a variety of areas including: Administration, Attorney, Auditor-Treasurer, Building Facilities, Emergency Management, Environmental Services, Extension, Highway, Human Resources, Human Services, Information Technology, Parks, Procurement, Property Services, Sheriff and Veterans Service. The overall project consists of 482,000 SF, a 270 bed Jail, 11 courtrooms, a law library, Sheriffs Office, County Attorneys Office, Emergency Management, and other justice related spaces. The County is seeking the services of a qualified commissioning agent or firm for a new construction project: a new Justice Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota, with associated site improvements. The Justice Center includes, but is not limited to, a Jail, Sheriff's Office, Courts, Court Administration, and Attorneys' Offices. The services encompass building automation systems, HVAC systems, plumbing, life/safety systems, and electrical systems. This project is currently in the Construction Document Development phase. The contract will be awarded to a single consultant. Building Enclosure Commissioning is under a separate contract.
