The Tri-County Lakes Administrative Commission (TLAC) Sedimentation Task Force is seeking proposals from qualified consulting firms to conduct a Feasibility Study on Sedimentation Management at a Blackwater River Site (Exhibit B) and a Gills Creek Site (Exhibit C) in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Each site will be analysed independently to allow for comparisons between the two locations. This study will assess the extent of sediment accumulation, identify sources, evaluate removal options, evaluate prevention options, estimate costs, and outline regulatory requirements. The final report will serve as the foundation for future sediment management efforts and funding applications. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
