The scope of work consists of the provision of pool chemicals for the City of Winston-Salem's Recreation Warehouse. Bids must be submitted for the chemicals requested, and delivery commitments must meet the requirements specified. Bidders are expected to be familiar with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations affecting the provision of such services. Compliance with laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Occupational Safety and Health Act, Section 1324A of the Immigration Reform and Control Act, and regulations concerning nondiscrimination on the basis of race, religion, color, gender, age, handicap, political affiliation, or national origin is required. Bids must be submitted in good faith and without collusion, and must be signed by an authorized officer of the company. The City reserves the right to hold bids for up to sixty days and may take actions affecting the process or items subject to the IFB as deemed in the City's best interest. Bidders must also comply with the Iran Divestment Act and the Divestment from Companies that Boycott Israel Act. It is strongly encouraged to stimulate the local economy by hiring from the local area and using minority and women contractors and service providers.
