Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Camarillo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and playground / park / athletic field.
The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the work scope, specifications, and contract documents. The work consists of ADA parking lot improvements Camarillo Grove Park, including demolition, grading, paving, concrete flatwork, ADA curb ramps, and striping to meet current accessibility standards. Bids shall be valid for ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form included in the Contract Documents, cash, or a certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted Total Bid Price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish PVRPD with requisite insurance and Payment and Performance Bonds on the forms included in the contract documents equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code and shall be licensed in the following classification(s) of contractor's license(s), throughout the duration of the Contract: Class A (General Engineering) or C-12 (Earthwork and Paving). All bid questions shall be submitted by email to Matthew Parker, Parks Services Manager at mparker@pvrpd.org. For the benefit of all proposed bidders, the questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 P.M on Friday, February 6, 2026, to allow adequate time for responses. The successful bidder will be required to complete all work within fifteen (15) calendar days, no site work can commence until material order has been shipped. In accordance with Government Code section 53069.85, PVRPD will be compensated for damages incurred due to delays for which the Contractor is responsible. The parties agree that determining PVRPD's exact delay damages is and will continue to be impracticable and extremely difficult. As such, for each calendar day in excess of the time agreed upon for completion of all the work, the Contractor shall pay PVRPD $250 per day as liquidated damages and not as a penalty or forfeiture. Such amount shall constitute the only payment allowed for damages resulting from Contractor caused delays. PVRPD shall have the right to deduct the amount of liquidated damages from any money due or that may become due under the Contract. PVRPD reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
