Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Camarillo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Project locations are: Bob Kildee Park - 1030Temple Ave. Camarillo, CA. 93010 Dos Caminos Park - 2198 Ponderosa Rd. Camarillo, CA. 93010 The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and incidentals as required by the work scope, specifications, and contract documents. Work includes cleaning and preparing the parking lot surfaces, necessary asphalt patching, grinding asphalt at ada path of travel transitions for compliance, crack sealing. Application of type ii slurry seal to designated parking lot areas, striping and marking of parking spaces and other features, and removal and proper disposal of debris generated during the project. Bids shall be valid for ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening date. Bids must be submitted on PVRPD's Bid Forms. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond on the form included in the contract documents, cash, or a certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the submitted total bid price. The successful bidder will be required to furnish pvrpd with requisite insurance and payment and performance bonds on the forms included in the contract documents equal to 100% of the contract price. Pursuant to section 1770, et seq. Of the california labor code, the contractor and all subcontractors shall pay not less than the prevailing rate of per diem wages as determined by the director of the california department of industrial relations and comply with all applicable labor code provisions, which include, but are not limited to the employment of apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors. Pursuant to labor code sections 1725.5 and 1771.1, all contractors and subcontractors that wish to bid on, be listed in a bid proposal, or enter into a contract to perform public work must be registered with the department of industrial relations. No bid will be accepted, nor any contract entered into without proof of the bidder's and subcontractors' current registration with the department of industrial relations. Within five working days, the bidder shall submit a valid dir number. Failure to do so will deem the bid non-responsive. This project will be subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the department of industrial relations. If awarded a contract, the bidder and its subcontractors of every tier shall maintain active registration with the department of industrial relations for the duration of the project. It shall be the bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the california business and professions code and shall be licensed in the following classification(s) of contractor's license(s), throughout the duration of the contract: class c-12 and c-32. The successful bidder will be required to complete all work within fourteen (14) calendar days, no site work can commence until material order has been shipped. In accordance with government code section 53069.85, pvrpd will be compensated for damages incurred due to delays for which the contractor is responsible. The parties agree that determining pvrpd's exact delay damages is and will continue to be impracticable and extremely difficult. As such, for each calendar day in excess of the time agreed upon for completion of all the work, the contractor shall pay pvrpd $250 per day as liquidated damages and not as a penalty or forfeiture. Such amount shall constitute the only payment allowed for damages resulting from contractor caused delays. Pvrpd shall have the right to deduct the amount of liquidated damages from any money due or that may become due under the contract. Award of contract: pvrpd shall award the contract for the work to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder as determined from the base bid alone by pvrpd. Pvrpd reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding process.
