Site work for a water / sewer project in Hughson, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The work to be performed consists, in general, of rehabilitation of existing Well 8, including but not limited to, remove existing pump and appurtenances, well videos, mechanical and chemical cleaning of well and screens, providing and installing temporary pump for pump-to-waste and development, waste water discharge systems and management, installing new pump and appurtenances, disinfection, and other work items as described in the contract documents. Other such items and details not mentioned herein that are required by the plans, Standard Specifications or these Special Provisions shall be performed, placed, constructed, or detailed. Bids are required for the entire work described herein. The Contractor shall posses a Class 57 Well Drillers license at the time this contract is awarded. Bids shall be accompanied by a Proposal Guaranty of a certified check or bidder's bond of not less than 10 percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, made payable to the order of the City of Hughson, to be retained as liquidated damaged by the Owner if the successful bidder fails to enter in to a Contract. Upon entering into a contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each for 100 percent of the contract amount. Pursuant to Section 1773 of the Labor Code, the general prevailing rate of wages in the County in which work is to be done has been determined by the Director of the Department of Industrial relations. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or to waive any informalities. If awarded, a contract will be awarded within 10 days of the bid opening. The Contract shall be signed within 14 calendar days; not including Sundays and legal holidays, after receipt of the Notice of Award, and work shall be completed within thirty (30) calendar days after Notice to Proceed. Replies will be issued only by Addenda. Questions received within the week of the date fixed for the opening of bids will not be answered.
