Renovation of a civil project in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Working plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.

**As of February 25, 2026 bids for this project has been rejected. As of this time it is unknown if and when project will rebid.** Sealed bids are being accepted for FIREWATER PUMPHOUSE #2 (JOB WEST) FIREWATER STORAGE TANK REPAIR, RECOAT AND UPGRADE, CIAA PROJECT #2025-14. Complete bidding documents may be obtained from Chennault International Airport Authority between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Official bidding documents can be downloaded from Central Bidding, where electronic bids may also be submitted. Each bidder must provide proof of capacity to provide a payment and performance bond as specified. A bid bond amounting to 5% of the bid must be furnished with the bid. The successful bidder will be required to pay for satisfactory performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. The Chennault International Airport Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. FWPH-2 (Job West FW Storage Tank): In summary, this Work shall consist of contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary to demo/remove/replace portions of existing tank floor plates and annular ring, internal shell compression ring and other miscellaneous items as identified and specified. This shall include all necessary testing as required by AWWA D-100 Tank Standard and NFPA-25. Upon completion of all tank repairs and modifications, contractor shall perform complete prep blast and recoat of both interior and exterior tank surfaces complete as specified. Contractor will provide and install a backflow preventer device, including accessory heated freeze protection enclosure and other accessories as needed on the existing FWPH-2 Building firewater supply line. Contractor will remove existing 24"diameter UL/FM isolation gate valve on tank suction nozzle and replace with new as specified. Contractor to demo/remove existing firewater tank auto-fill assembly and replace with new auto-fill assembly as specified. Contractor to demo/remove existing piping insulation and replace existing heat trace on all piping and piping components as depicted in contract drawings and specifications. Contractor shall be required to re-insulate all exposed piping as required. Contractor to provide and install new electronic radar level sensor device, including all wiring and hardware to interface with existing Low Level Cutout control panel located inside FWPH-2 Building. Contractor shall be required to provide new replacement tank manway and piping flange gaskets as specified to achieve a leak-tight system. Contractor shall be responsible for providing temporary meter for measuring gallons and initial filling of the tank to full capacity, including all leak checks and to insure proper level setpoints are achieved. Note: Owner to pay for city water to refill the (500,000 gallon capacity) firewater tank. Contractor shall provide enduser training at completion/commissioning of the Project. This Work, as summarized above, shall include all aspects as defined and include all other Work as defined and indicated in the Contract Documents.
