Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Washington, District of Columbia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.

Work under this contract consists of the reconstruction of the Anacostia Avenue Bridge over Anacostia River Outlet (Bridge 78) project in Washington DC (Project). The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools and incidentals necessary for the construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents (the Work), which includes providing all materials, equipment, labor, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as shown on the contract plans, standard specifications and the supplementary specifications (also referred to as special provision). The specifications and special provisions describe the minimum requirements for the material, quality control, and construction that shall govern the Work to be performed. The estimated price for this Contract will be between $10,000,000.00 and $15,000,000.00 Subcontracting Requirement 0% The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents ("the Work"), which includes: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools and incidentals necessary for the construction of the Project in accordance with the Contract Documents ("the Work"), which includes providing all materials, equipment, labor, tools, and incidentals necessary to complete the work as shown on the contract plans, standard specifications and the supplementary specifications (also referred to as "special provision"). The specifications and special provisions describe the minimum requirements for the material, quality control, and construction that shall govern the Work to be performed. Work under this contract consists of the Reconstruction of the Anacostia Avenue Bridge over Anacostia River Outlet (Bridge 78) and it shall include but not limited to mobilization and demobilization, field layout, employee training, provision and maintenance of work and storage areas, Engineer's field facilities, and the proper maintenance of traffic including temporary signage for pedestrians during all phases of construction. The location of the field Engineer's field facilities shall be within one mile of the work unless approved by the Engineer. The limits of work are shown on the Contract Drawings. Some items of work may extend beyond these limits such as construction of temporary access road, staging area and Informational Signing (traffic control, temporary detour, etc.). All such items are integral to this contract. The Work will be performed above, in and around the Anacostia River outlet (see project location on the plan) and adjacent and on the National Park Service (NPS), Potomac Electric Power Company (Pepco), Department of General Services/Department of Public Works (DGS/DPW) Properties. The Contractor is cautioned to comply with the requirements of this contract and the NPS, DOEE, USACE, PEPCO, DGS/DPW and other permits regarding construction on this site for the Project. Providing protection shield for any work above Anacostia River outlet (wetland) area and any area below the existing bridge for the entire duration of demolition and construction so that no debris falls in the wetlands or areas under and around the existing or proposed bridge replacement. Protection shield shall not be placed at an elevation lower than the bottom flange of the existing bridge beam/girder. The existing bridge will be reconstructed as shown on the contract documents. The work also includes but not limited to the following items too: a) Mobilization and demobilization, performance of field layout, providing Engineer's field facilities and progress photographs and performance of employee training. b) Establishment and maintenance of temporary traffic control including signs, temporary lighting, temporary access roads, temporary pavement markings, barricades, and other transition devices; reconfiguring the devices in conjunction with changes in work areas; and their removal and disposal of upon project completion, including restoration of areas disturbed by temporary traffic detours to their original condition. Questions must be submitted prior to due date and time identified in the solicitation and DTAP portal. Questions submitted after the deadline will not be considered, unless the District elects, at its sole discretion, to do so.
