Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Hillsborough, New Jersey. Working plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
As per the Owner the project has been cancelled due to required redesigning of the project. The bid will be re-solicited at a later date. REPLACEMENT OF COUNTY BRIDGE NO. C0512, AMWELL ROAD (CR 514) OVER TRIBUTARY OF THE SOUTH BRANCH OF THE RARITAN RIVER, TOWNSHIP OF HILLSBOROUGH, SOMERSET COUNTY, NEW JERSEY. o Installation, maintenance and removal of soil erosion and sediment control devices o Installation, maintenance and removal of traffic protection devices associated with the vehicular detour o Coordination with utility for gas main relocation o Maintenance and protection of stream flow during construction o Removal of existing culvert's superstructure and substructure o Removal of existing parapets, and guide rail o Construction of proposed culvert structure including wingwalls and parapets o Installation of new drainage inlets and pipe, cleaning existing drainage system o Widening the existing roadway approach to meet the new bridge width o Installation of guide rail protections o Resurfacing the entire roadway within the limits as shown on the plan o Installation of new pavement, traffic striping and signs Bidder shall submit with the bid a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00, payable unconditionally to Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for full amount of bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and that said Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of successful bidder's contract. Question Deadline 01/30/2026 All claims, disputes, issues, clarifications, and other matters questioned by the Contractor, arising out of, or relating to the Contract Documents, Work, or Project, or which may affect the Contract Time or Contract Price, shall be submitted orally or in writing by the Contractor to the Engineer by the end of the next business day after the event in question, and prior to disturbance of the conditions, unless relating to the safety of person or property. The initial notice shall be confirmed in writing to the Engineer within three (3) calendar days of initial notice
