The Supplier agrees to sell and deliver to the Owner and the Owner agrees to purchase and receive from the Supplier the equipment under Bid No. [to be specified], in strict accordance with the documents entitled “Furnishing Minor Materials – Phase 1 Electric Distribution Improvements REBID” for Alta Municipal Utilities Alta, Iowa. The equipment to be supplied is described in general as follows: Fault Indicators, Cable Sealing and Identification Material, and Overhead Materials. All equipment and materials must be furnished and delivered in strict conformance with the Specifications forming a part of these contract documents. Bids must comply with all instructions, including submission on official forms, provision of bid security, and inclusion of a completed Bidder Status Form. Quantities listed in the bid forms are approximate and final payment will be based on contract quantities. The Bidder shall be responsible for all delivery, off-loading, and placement of materials as detailed in the specifications. Title to the equipment passes upon completion and acceptance by the Owner. Bids are to be firm without regard for time of delivery, manufacturer cost increases, or other factors. All materials shall be F.O.B., Alta Municipal Utilities Alta, Iowa. Award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder for each Bid Form, and the Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and enter into contract as deemed to be in the best interest of the Utility. Bid security is required at ten percent of the bid amount, and performance bond requirements apply if the contract exceeds $25,000. Bid envelopes must be clearly marked as instructed and include all required documentation. No oral, fax, email, telegraphic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. No bid may be withdrawn for thirty days after the scheduled opening date. Bidders must be capable and qualified to perform as required, and all work shall be completed according to the contract documents.
