The City seeks proposals from qualified clean energy developers for a 20-year PPA to develop, own, operate, and maintain the CRC System at the New London Community Recreation Center Property. At the end of the PPA, the developer will be responsible for decommissioning the CRC System. The City will work with the winning bidder to enter into a binding Option Agreement and apply for a NRES incentive for the CRC System. Additionally, the City seeks a bid alternate that includes virtual net metering (VNM) offtake for State, Agricultural, and Municipal Beneficial Accounts in the NRES program for up to 12,000,000 kWh, which corresponds to up to 9 MW-AC of VNM Systems in Eversource territory.
