Consisting of the milling and repaving and/or furnishing of items for the Meadows Northland Arlington Street Stabilization Project, Lexington-Fayette County, Kentucky. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of ninety (90) calendar days after the closing date for receipt of bids. Errors and omissions will not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeit of bid bond. If the bid is $50,000 or greater, bid shall be accompanied by a certified /cashier's check or bid bond payable to the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government in an amount not less than Five Percent (5%) of the base bid. Bid bond shall be executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent, representing the Surety Company. Bid Bonds are not required for bids under $50,000. A certified check or cashier's check is also acceptable forms of bid security. The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government may be served. The OWNER has set a goal that not less than ten percent (10%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, which is made up of MBEs and WBEs, and set a goal that not less than three percent (3%) of the total value of this Contract be subcontracted to Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
