Site work for a water / sewer project in Combes, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work as follows: 1. Traffic Control (Refer to "BID PROPOSAL FORM") 2. New Manhole Lid w/ Concrete Collar (Refer to "BID PROPOSAL FORM") 3. Manhole Rehab (Epoxy Coating) (Refer to "BID PROPOSAL FORM") A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid [for those contracts that exceed $100,000]. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Combes or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All contractors and subcontractors must be cleared (not suspended or debarred) prior to any formal action authorizing the award of a contract to the contractor. Minority Business Enterprises, Small Business Enterprises, Women Business Enterprises, Section 3 Businesses, and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to submit bids. The City of Combes reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Combes for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
