Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Cookeville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; sidewalk / parking lot; and road / highway.

The work consists of the construction of approximately 0.13 miles of three 11-foot lanes with base and paving, topsoiling, seeding, sidewalk construction, installation of storm sewers, and related work along Henley Drive from Sams Street to Bunker Hill Road. Bids must be accompanied by a cashier's or bank check or Bid Guarantee Bond in the amount not less than five percent of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent of the contract price. All bidders must be licensed contractors as required by law. No bid will be opened unless the sealed envelope contains the contractor's license number, the date of expiration, and the classification applying to the bid. In the case of joint ventures, this information must be provided by all parties. The City reserves the right to waive irregularities or reject any or all bids as deemed in the best interest of the City. If any person contemplating submitting a bid forthe proposed Work is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the drawings, specifications, or other contract documents, he may submit to the City of Cookeville a written request for an interpretation thereof to be given consideration and must be received at least five (5) days prior to the date fixed for the opening of bids.
