Sealed bids are requested for the 2026 Resurfacing Program. Bids must be unit price for all work as detailed in the contract documents and submitted on prescribed forms including State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 (Revised 2013). Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to ten percent of the total bid, payable to the Jackson County Board of Commissioners, to ensure execution of the contract. The successful contractor will be required to provide a performance, maintenance, and payment bond equal to the contract amount, as well as certificates for all required insurance before beginning work. The CONTRACTOR shall perform and guarantee everything required to be performed or guaranteed and shall provide and furnish all labor, materials, except as otherwise specifically provided, necessary tools, expendable equipment, and all utility and transportation services required to perform and complete in a workmanlike manner the Project all in accordance with the Contract Documents, which are made a part of this Contract; and the CONTRACTOR shall do everything required by this Contract and the other documents constituting a part thereof. Contract documents are available for public inspection at the Jackson County Highway Department, and copies may be obtained at no charge to the contractor. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process. Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing to the County. Interpretations shall be made to all bidders in the form of an addendum to the Contract Documents.
