The purpose of this project is to replace thirteen (13) valve actuators at the City of Ardmore's Wastewater Treatment Plant. The actuators will be installed for valves that serve both the sequencing batch reactors (SRBs) and Aerobic Digester B. The purpose of this Section is to describe the general elements of the work required to accomplish the project goals . Each Bid must be accompanied by a BID BOND payable to the OWNER for Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the BID. A certified check may be used in lieu of a BID BOND. PERFORMANCE, MAINTENANCE AND STATUTORY PAYMENT BONDS in the amount of 100 hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, with a corporate surety approved by the OWNER, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The OWNER may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within sixty (60) calendar days following the actual date of the opening thereof. The OWNER reserves the right to: change dates the bid will be considered; waive all informalities; reject any and all bids; choose whether to accept alternates, if applicable; adjust quantities; and add or omit items of work as deemed necessary to conform with budget or other constraints; and to accept that bid deemed most advantageous for value received. A. The CONTRACTOR shall furnish, install, and place into satisfactory operation actuators for the treatment unit valves listed in this SECTION, equipping each of them with new, flexible electrical conduits/connections. o (4) actuators, (1) for each of the SBR influent valves (located on the south side of each SBR unit), approximately in the east/west center of each SBR basin.
